A revamped corporate intranet for improved collaboration
America’s largest chain of domestic merchandise retail stores specializes in various top-quality items in home décor. This eminent name in the retail industry provides a range of household goods from bath, bedding, furniture, beauty and fitness, luggage, and more. The company’s communication team realized the need to refresh the corporate intranet portal with a new platform to serve the enterprise while preserving its key functionalities. This new intranet site with a revamped user design interface must reflect the company’s priorities, procedures, corporate values, and policies.
The Solution
Improving the corporate portal’s information architecture for enhanced corporate collaboration
In response to the client’s need for a revamped corporate intranet, Confiz’s technology experts in the area of user interface design closely worked with the client on the project. Based on the key pain points and the client’s desire for future expansion and improvement, the UI/UX of the intranet was refined. The engineering team at Confiz used SharePoint to design web parts and Power Automate to build a proof of concept for the workflow and permissions system to secure security and compliance. A dedicated maintenance mode was also integrated into the site for added security.
