The need
Our client, a leading food commodity company in Sudan, aimed for ambitious multichannel growth and global expansion. However, its legacy system became a major roadblock, lacking the flexibility to support evolving business models and cross-border operations. The absence of centralized pricing, real-time inventory visibility, transparent financial data, strong data governance, and seamless third-party integrations led to operational inefficiencies. These limitations made it difficult to scale effectively, highlighting the urgent need for a modern, unified ERP solution.
The Solution
To support its ambitious expansion, the client required a modern, scalable ERP system. Confiz recommended Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, a unified, cloud-based platform that integrates finance, supply chain, production, and sales. This transformation automated key processes, including invoice matching, budget control, inventory tracking, and predictive maintenance, enhancing efficiency and adaptability.
Confiz’s cross-functional sprint teams customized D365 F&O to align with the client’s specific needs. Key enhancements included structured item categorization, predefined formulas for sauces and wheat production, optimized resource scheduling, expiry tracking, seamless landed and manufacturing cost tracking, and reservation management for sales.
In the next phase, Confiz experts integrated D365 F&O with the VAN sales app and AI-powered Copilot, strengthened data governance and financial controls, and introduced workflow-driven financial automation. Additionally, Power BI dashboards were embedded within D365 F&O, enabling real-time financial reporting, supply risk analysis, sales and profitability insights, and comprehensive performance monitoring.
