Confiz and Agile Pakistan collaborate to explore the potential of Gen AI in Agile Methodologies

Recognizing the buzz around Generative AI and the need to address its potential, limitations, and ethical aspects, Confiz collaborated with Agile Pakistan to host a session on “Unleashing Gen AI with Agile Methodologies.” Industry experts from the tech ecosystem from Pakistan’s top IT organizations including Systems Limited, i2c and Vaival Technologies came together for an open discussion on the impact of Generative AI on Agile methodologies and its evolving role in Agile project management.

The event featured two sessions, each covering key aspects of the synergy between Gen AI and Agile methodologies. The opening session was led by Maqsood Hassan, Senior Project Manager at Confiz, on “GEN AI and its Impact on Agile Methodology.”

Maqsood Hassan explored the evolution of AI and how it is transforming Agile methodology, highlighting its practical applications, use cases, and the potential pitfalls of Generative AI. His session provided a comprehensive overview of how Gen AI is driving technological progress and reshaping Agile practices. Maqsood also discussed practical strategies for integrating AI into an organization’s Agile practices. He concluded his session with a thought-provoking quote: “AI is not going to replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI.”

Following Maqsood Hassan’s session, Muhammad Arslan Khan, Senior Managing Consultant from Systems Limited, shared valuable insights on the application of AI within Agile Project Management. Khan’s discussion focused on how AI can be leveraged to enhance Agile practices, leading to improved project outcomes.

The highlight of the event was the panel discussion, which sparked an open and candid conversation about the applications and benefits of Generative AI. The panelists included Fahid Ilyas, Director of Professional Services at Confiz, Yasir Shabbir, Program Manager AI at i2c, and Ahmed Jawad Khan, Head of PMO at Vaival Technologies. The panelists shared insights on how Generative AI is reshaping the landscape by easing workloads, reducing effort, and boosting productivity, including its impact on project outcomes. They presented real-world examples and case studies that demonstrated the effectiveness of integrating Gen AI with Agile methodologies to achieve greater efficiency.

The event concluded with a closing note from Naeem Iqbal, Head of the PMO for the Government of Pakistan. He shared his experiences with Generative AI and highlighted its effectiveness across various applications.

This collaboration with Agile Pakistan, a non-profit dedicated to promoting Agile project development methods, went beyond knowledge sharing—it inspired attendees to embrace Generative AI with open arms.
