To enhance its daily operations and further its mission of protecting children’s rights, Confiz extended a helping hand to PAHCHAAN (Protection and Help of Children Against Abuse and Neglect) to develop an offline Android mobile application, making a significant step towards its digital transformation journey.
For its Khushhal Khandan initiative, aimed at providing underserved communities with access to quality healthcare, PAHCHAAN faced significant challenges in maintaining and centralizing patient and family data. Their field survey staff relied on manual data collection and compilation, a process that was time-consuming and prone to errors, jeopardizing patient care. Additionally, many of PAHCHAAN’s community centers were located in areas with limited or no internet access, further complicating daily operations.
Recognizing the pressing need for a solution, Dr. Naeem Zafar, President and CEO of PAHCHAAN, reached out to Confiz for assistance, hoping to enhance their data management capabilities. In line with Confiz’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community welfare, we took on the project and leveraged our expertise in software development to provide a digital solution that could address the challenges faced by the non-profit.
In just four weeks, Confiz developed an offline Android mobile application using Kotlin and Firebase, empowering PAHCHAAN’s staff, doctors, and center personnel to manage and add data without relying on an internet connection. The app includes robust features, including new patient management, patient search, and prescription management, eliminating the reliance on paper-based processes.
The launch of this mobile application has transformed PAHCHAAN’s paper-based operations into a digital solution, enabling efficient tracking, analysis, and reporting. Dr. Naeem Zafar describes this transformation as a pivotal moment in their mission, marking a significant step forward in uplifting underprivileged families and improving access to essential healthcare services.
The mobile app’s launch was made in just four weeks of development, followed by a one-week hyper-care and support period to ensure a seamless transition. The successful implementation of this project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Confiz’s dedicated team, including Muhammad Umair Zahid (Associate Software Architect), Waleed Babar (Principal Software Engineer), Wajeeh Ahmed (Senior Software Engineer), and Shayan Asghar (Software Engineer).
In addition to the mobile application, Confiz assisted PAHCHAAN in designing Google surveys and developing guided Excel dashboards. These tools enabled the organization to centralize its data, automate survey processes, and reduce costs. The Excel dashboards provided a clear overview of their progress, facilitating informed decision-making. This comprehensive support ensures that PAHCHAAN can continue its vital mission of protecting and empowering women and children more effectively.
Confiz is honored to be a part of PAHCHAAN’s mission to create a brighter and more secure future for women and children. Witnessing how technology can drive real, positive change in underserved communities is truly inspiring. This collaboration reaffirms our belief in the transformative potential of digital solutions, and we look forward to supporting similar initiatives that uplift and empower those in need in the future.
