The PMI Lahore Chapter Symposium was held on Saturday, 20th November 2021 at the ITU Auditorium Arfa Software Technology Park and was sponsored by Confiz and ITU (Information Technology University). The agenda in focus was to discover and identify “Project Management Trends and Overcoming Challenges in the IT Industry” where experts from well-recognized institutions uncovered secrets of functioning in a post-pandemic world.
The event was organized to assist IT enthusiasts in learning, developing, and understanding the latest project management trends in the market. Below are the topics that were covered in the symposium:

“It is very important to have motivated individuals who’re working on projects that they’re actually passionate about,” said Muhammad Awaid a Senior Project Manager from Confiz during his discourse as guest speaker at the event. Awaid shared unique tips on how to retain the best talent and to keep high-performing teams intact for Project Managers in the IT industry.
Confiz organizes brown bag sessions to understand employee sentiment
Dr. Khalid Ahmad Khan (President PMI Lahore Chapter) carried on the conversation and explored the different strategies to develop preventive and corrective measures to avert project failures. While Uzma Yasin (Head of Partnerships & Business Development Kualitatem) shed light on the future of manual QA’s and Dr. Sara Khawar (Entrepreneurship Educationist ITU) concluded on a lighter note elaborating on the relevance and implementation of Intrapreneurship in IT organizations.
The event was also followed by a Post-Covid First Project Managers Networking Session over Hi-Tea, providing a space for attending members to exchange views on a diverse range of tech affairs. Moreover, Professional Development Unit (PDU) certificates were awarded to students and professionals renewing their PMI credentials.
